The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has caused uncertainties for businesses and communities. As the world is gradually adapting, everyone is required to do their part in guaranteeing a safer future.

The Touch-Less start-up has taken this opportunity to enable innovative technology to act as a barrier and ensure a safer environment for everyone.

Touch-Less aims to bring a variety of solutions to businesses, to help them shift their offline materials to online platforms. Customers who visit can then access the materials on their smartphones once they have scanned the QR codes. The updated method has the added benefit of helping businesses look forward to a paperless future. a

Currently, the main focus  is the food and beverage (F&B) industry, as reusable menus are no longer recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Touch-Less offers a number of packages to ease business adaption, including a variety of designs that takes into account the business’s own branding guidelines, and a variety of different display options.

Co-founder and CEO of Touch-Less, Mostafa Medhat, said, “Through our developed QR code, customers will be able to scan restaurants’ menu, promotional offers, latest updates, and all that would be initially offered on paper on their smartphones“.

However, Touch-Less goes beyond safety, and offers weekly data analytics on how QR codes are being used, as well as other information on the smartphone model used, the time of scan and the location. This data enables businesses to track their results and improve their customer experience.

Beyond the F&B industry, Touch-Less is also focusing on retail, by providing QR codes on storefronts that customers are able to scan for an immediate App download. Customers will also be able to visit the business’ website visit, or promotional offers.

The data received would enable retailers to track their conversion rate, encourage the use of online platforms, and ensure a safer environment by removing all paper use. In return this would entitle the business to gain categorisation as environmentally friendly.
