Online food delivery company Otlob has launched an initiative to employ trained delivery workers who have lost their jobs due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.

Otlob will accommodate a large number of qualified and experienced young drivers with the aim of continuing its expansion in the Egyptian market. Some delivery sector companies have closed and laid off employees due to the ongoing global health crisis.

Otlob CEO Sufian Al-Marzouqi said the company is prepared to recruit more young personnel in various sectors at this time. This coincides with Uber Eats’ announcement that they are leaving the Egyptian market.

Al-Marzouqi added that the company has already started with expansion plans this year, by adding new services to their application and website.

The Otlob family in Egypt includes over 2,500 delivery captains, and a partnership with 5,000 restaurants in 26 cities across Egypt.
