IWAN’s Majada, first eco resort in Ain Sokhna

Majada El Sokhna resort provides unique and diverse services and facilities, with several opulent villas and a selection of spacious, twin houses, chalets, duplexes, and studios with private gardens overlooking crystal clear lagoons and sea views, CEO of IWAN Developments Waleed Mokhtar told Daily News Egypt.

Mokhtar said that Majada is Iwan’s first project in Ain Sokhna, adding that IDIA Design is implementing the project’s masterplan and finishing.

The luxury compound has a 30,000-sqm private beach in Ain Sokhna and will be built over seven years in four phases. The first phase is set to be delivered in 2024, Mokhtar noted.

He revealed that the company will cooperate with a group of geologists and consultants specialised in marine ecosystem to develop studies on the nature of marine life in the area as the company aims to make Majada an environmentally friendly sustainable project.

“Currently, we are studying a set of options and offers for operators of hotels in the project,” Mokhtar said.

Moreover, the company considers implementing an art school in the resort. “We will soon contract with a specialised company to help us develop the school. It would provide various services, stadium, swimming pool, children’s play area, and all entertainment and leisure life. Over and above, the project will comprise of water sports clubs, beaches, clubhouses, and other cultural services.”

The project embraces six areas dedicated to relaxation and creativity on all levels on top of the mountain, where many activities start from the area designated for star viewing, mountain climbing, yoga, and handicraft schools, among others.

In addition, the project has a hotel, sports club, and beach club, in addition to restaurants, a yoga centre, a spa centre, dedicated bike paths, a supermarket, a pharmacy, a medical centre, and also a diving centre dedicated to art.
