Salah leads Liverpool against Red Bull Salzburg, seeking first win in UCL 2019/20

The UEFA Champions League will resume on Wednesday with eight strong matches in the second round of the group stage, following several unexpected results in the first round.

In Group E, the holders Liverpool hope to recover their poor start in the championship when they face Red Bull Salzburg at 9pm at the Anfield. Italy’s Napoli will face Belgium’s KRC Genk at 6:55pm, at the Luminus Arena in Genk. The South Italian team hopes to build on its strong start in the group, after beating Liverpool 2-0 in the first round.

In Group F, Borussia Dortmund of Germany will meet SK Slavia Prague of Czech Republic at 6:55pm, at the Eden Arena. The German team hopes for a positive result to qualify for the next stage being in a tough group along with Barcelona and Inter Milan.

SK Slavia Prague forced Inter Milan to a 1-1 draw in the first round, while Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona drew 0-0. Both teams are entering this round with high hopes to find their first win in the championship. Barcelona will host Inter Mila at 9pm at the Camp Nou.

In Group H, Chelsea will travel to France to meet Lille OSC at the Stade Pierre Mauroy. The Blues hope to bounce back after their last defeat at the hands of Valencia. Meanwhile, the Spanish team will host Ajax which now leads the group after their 3-0 win over Lille OSC in the first round.

In Group G, Lyon will meet RB Leipzig at 9pm at the Red Bull Arena, while Benfica will face Zenit Saint Petersburg at the same time. 

Lyon began their journey with a 1-1 draw against Zenit, while Leipzig are leading the group with three points gained from their 2-0 win over Benfica in the first round.
