Mony Helal was crowned Miss Egypt 2018, qualifying to the 68th edition of the Miss World pageant scheduled to be held in China next December.

“Being crowned as Miss Egypt 2018 and representing Egypt in Miss World makes me feel so proud. It is really a big responsibility,” says Helal, the 26-year-old Egyptian girl.

Helal added that she is eager to change the typical stereotype of beauty pageant queens, “I believe that true beauty comes from within,” she explained.

Helal contributed in several charitable associations such as Misr Al-Kheir, Gannat Al-Kholoud and Baseera for the visually Impaired.

One of her main contributions is the call to win the primary consent on the first animal protection draft law in Egypt that will be soon discussed by the parliament.

She resigned from her current job as a PR manager to focus on her social service activities, as she takes part in many humanitarian and animal protection activities, as well on her work as a fashion model, she pointed out.

Noteworthy, Miss World 2018 is scheduled to take place in Sanya Island, China next December, with the participation of 120 runners from across the globe.
