The Al-Mansour-Scoop alliance, the agents of the French Peugeot brand in Egypt, have announced the appointment of Khalid Youssef as CEO of Peugeot Egypt starting from 1 July.

Youssef has served as head of the automotive sector at the Egyptian International Motors Company (EIM), the agent of Kia and Renault in Egypt, for more than 10 years. He managed to increase the sales of Kia and Renault in Egypt and boost the value of the two brands in the Egyptian market.

Several experts in the automotive field praised the step, noting that Youssef’s experience of more than 25 years will boost the French brand in the Egyptian market and make it recover its former status.

Al-Mansour and Scoop officially announced the launch of their new partnership for the exclusive distribution of Peugeot cars in Egypt in April, based on an agreement with Groupe PSA, owner of the Peugeot brand.

The announcement was made at a conference attended by Jan Christoph Kimar, executive vice president of Groupe PSA for the Middle East and Africa; Samir Shervan, senior vice president of sales and marketing in Groupe PSA for the Middle East and Africa; Adel Khader, CEO and managing director of Al-Mansour; and Farid Al-Bilbisy, CEO of Scoop, as well as journalists, distributors, and car dealers.
