Al-Ahly won the 2016 Women Arab Clubs Volleyball Championship, after the team defeated Algeria’s Al-Mogamaa with a score of 3-0 on Sunday at the Cairo Stadium.
The match’s scores were 25-15/25-18/25-17, leading to Al-Ahly winning the gold.
In the first round of the championship, Al-Ahly defeated Morocco’s Al-Difaâ, with a score of 3-0 (25-12/25-8/25-12), and won against El-Bahrain in the second round by 3-0 (25-3/25-8/25-7).
The Egyptian club’s third victory came against Lebanon’s Al-Maein with a score of 3-0 (25-9/25-6/25-5). Al-Ahly’s also won against Jordan’s De La Salle in a match that ended with 3-0 (25-9/25-12/25-15).
Al-Ahly’s team included: Nahla Sameh, Aya El-Shamy, Farida Al-Askalany, Engy Al-Shamy, Nermin Al-Menshawy, Shorouk Fouad, Nour Yassin, Mariam Metwaly, Rahma Al-Mohandes, Mariam Moustafa, Dana Shouky, and Brazilian Tinara Eimail.
