Among his supporters infront of the Itihadiya Presidential Palace, President Morsy delivered a long speech confirming that Thursday’s decisions are not aimed at getting back at anyone, and that he would never take sides when it comes to the Egyptian people. Morsy said that he had promised before to interfere if the nation is in danger which is what he believes he is doing now.

Following the same rhetoric of former president Mubarak, Morsy accused protesters gathered today in Mohamed Mahmoud Street of being “thugs” and that they got paid to attack the Ministry of Interior.

The president assured the public that his decisions aim at fulfilling the revolution’s goals and to stabilise the country’s economic and political situation. He said that even though the judiciary system in Egypt is fair, yet there are a few who are corrupt and ruin the judiciary system’s reputation.

Morsy said that Egypt is in on the right path to democracy and announced compensations for the Assiut school bus tragedy which killed 51 child.
