Commercial International Bank (CIB) launched a leadership program for the consumer banking industry which they say is the first of its kind in Egypt and MENA, according to a statement.

The program is offered by an expert in consumer banking strategy, leadership development and organizational transformation in emerging markets, Humayun Rashid.

CIB will select the Top 100 consumer bankers to participate in the program from within the organization and externally through recruiting of new hires. The program extends over a six month period and includes both managerial and technical courses and seminars.

This program builds on CIB’s successful and well known Credit Course for Corporate Bankers, which was originally designed by Chase Manhattan.

“This is the first comprehensive leadership program the Middle East covering all aspects of consumer banking — we believe the best way to grow the consumer banking industry is to invest in the leaders of tomorrow and this program allows us to do just that,” said Rashid.

Candidates will receive the ‘Consumer Banking Leadership Certificate’ once they have successfully completed the program giving them the most powerful credentials to be a recognized consumer banking leader in the market.

Rashid has over 30 years of experience in consumer and corporate banking in 10 countries around the world.
