Egypt, China meet on bilateral ties

Bilateral trade between China and Egypt reached $6 billion in 2009, reported Xinhua news agency, and the two pledged in a recent meeting to strengthen strategic cooperation.

 

A Chinese delegation headed by Wang Gang met with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak this week, where Wang, also vice chairman of the country’s top political advisory body, added that the relations are a good example for South-South cooperation.

The Chinese delegation arrived in Cairo on Saturday for a visit.
