CAIRO: Zamalek have entered the race to sign Ahly-target Walid Soliman from Petrojet, football director Ibrahim Hassan has confirmed.
We sent an official enquiry to Petrojet about the possibility of signing Walid Soliman, Hassan told FilGoal.com.
We are waiting for their reply. Soliman is a fine player and we believe he could very good addition to our squad.
Soliman has been targeted by Ahly since last season, but Petrojet were often reluctant to sell their star man.
The 26-year-old, who spent half of season on loan at Ahly Jeddah, has also expressed his desire to join the Egyptian champions on several occasions.
Soliman s contract with Petrojet runs out in 2013.
