CAIRO: FIFA have selected Sudan as the venue to host Egypt s possible playoff match with Algeria on Nov. 18, the Egyptian Football Association said on Wednesday.

The Egyptian football governing body said that a notification was received from FIFA with the chosen venue, following a draw between Sudan and Tunisia.

The draw took place on Wednesday morning after Egypt chose Sudan, while Algeria went for Tunisia.

A playoff clash will only take place if Egypt beat their visitors by a two-goal margin on Saturday as both teams will be tied on points and goals.

Should Egypt win by a three-goal cushion, the African champions will go through the 2010 World Cup.

On the other hand, Group C leaders Algeria will qualify if they lost by one goal or managed a better result.
