Swine flu cases reach 79 in Egypt

CAIRO: On Monday, the Ministry of Health announced a new case of H1N1 raising Egypt’s total number of cases to 79.

According to Abdel Rahman Shahin, Ministry of Health spokesperson, the new case is of an 8-year-old Egyptian boy who arrived with his family from Greece on June 30.

The patient then traveled to Assiut where he experienced flu like symptoms on July 2 and was admitted to a hospital in Assiut where he is currently being treated.

On Monday, the Ministry of Health announced the recovery of five new patients, raising total number of recovered patients to 68, while 11 remain in hospitals.
