YOKOHAMA: Ahly midfielder Ahmed Hassan blamed bad luck for the team s two defeats in the Club World Cup.

After losing 4-2 to CONCACAF champions Pachuca in the second round, Ahly have finished the competition in sixth place after Thursday s 1-0 defeat to Adelaide United.

We’ve been very unlucky in the two games we played. However, similar situations occur in football, Hassan said after the Adelaide defeat.

After all, we are still African champions and we represented Egypt and the whole continent in such prestigious competition.

However, Ahly are a top class side, and I m sure we ll bounce back stronger.
