CAIRO: Mahmoud Abdel Maguid, 65, was murdered in a revenge killing by three men outside a mosque in Refaai village in El Ayat, reported Al Akhbar newspaper.
The three men were brothers, and they reportedly beat Abdel Maguid to death with a club on his way to dawn prayers. The three were arrested by Giza police.
Investigations revealed that the families of Abdel Maguid and the three brothers were locked in a feud over a piece of land, which resulted in the death of their fourth brother at the hands of Abdel Maguid’s brother. Even though he was arrested for the murder, the three brothers insisted on taking personal revenge.
The victim s body was found outside the mosque in a pool of blood with the murder weapon lying next to him.
