A farmer shot two boys when their donkey helped itself to some fodder from his field, Al Gomhuria reported. Khalafallah Elwan, 13, and Omar Shahat Ramadan, 18, both students, were taken to the central Farshut Hospital after they were shot at in their eyes and ears. They are reportedly in critical condition. The farmer, Abdel Latif Mahmoud, 19, who belongs to the Howara tribe, got into a quarrel with the victims who belong to another Arab tribe when their donkey ate some of his barsim, a green fodder that grows haphazardly. After the culprit was arrested, the police intensified its presence to prevent more fights from breaking out between the antagonistic tribes.
