CAIRO: Over thirty Egyptian companies will participate in the GITEX Dubai 2006 exhibition scheduled for Nov. 18-22 this year with support from the Egyptian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) will be responsible for the organization and arrangement of Egyptian companies’ participation in the event.

Mohammad Emran, chief executive officer of ITIDA, said his agency organized meetings with representatives from Egyptian technology companies to discuss ways of support for their participation in the exhibition, which is expected to attract more investments in the Egyptian technology industry.

ITIDA provides participants with 85 percent of the total cost of participation, especially for events on outsourcing mainly organized in Britain and Germany.

The Egyptian companies’ showroom is expected to reach 350 square meters and Egyptian technology companies will focus on the promotion of their software evaluation services.
