Saudi Arabia to investigate Egyptian brawl in Mecca

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed a fight broke out between Egyptians and Indonesians in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. According to a statement published by the ministry on Tuesday an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the fight and to investigate whether anyone was killed as a result.

Ambassador Ali Al-Ashiry, assistant to the foreign minister on Consular Affairs, said in the statement that the Ambassador to Jeddah, Adel Al-Alfi, is in contact with Saudi authorities in order to uncover the exact details of the event and to keep up with the investigation being carried out by authorities.

At the time of writing authorities had not yet released their findings.
