BTC has officially launched its first vending machine for gold and silver ingots and coins in Egypt, installed at Nile City Towers Mall in Cairo. The launch marks the company’s official entry into automated retail in Egypt, as part of its efforts to make gold and silver products more accessible to customers and to provide greater flexibility in purchasing them.

The launch follows a testing phase BTC began in 2025, which included introducing vending machines at various locations in Gulf markets, alongside a trial of the model in Egypt. This phase enabled the company to test and further develop the automated retail model in preparation for expanding its offering. The Nile City Towers Mall machine marks the service’s move into its official launch phase in Egypt.

The machine allows customers to purchase a selected range of gold and silver products using payment cards. It offers gold ingots ranging from 0.25 to 2.5 grams, silver ingots ranging from 5 to 100 grams, and a selection of gold and silver coins.

Hassan Nassar, CEO of BTC, said that moving to the official launch phase of automated retail in Egypt reflects the company’s direction toward diversifying its sales channels for gold and silver products and leveraging technology to provide customers with more convenient and flexible purchasing options.

He added that the testing phase, which began in 2025, helped BTC develop the model in preparation for its official introduction to the Egyptian market. Nassar noted that placing the machine at Nile City Towers Mall adds to the company’s existing sales channels and supports its ongoing efforts to expand access to bullion products in ways that meet customers’ needs.

BTC is one of the leading gold and silver bullion companies in the Arab region, with a presence in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman. It is owned by KPM, whose portfolio of specialized brands operates across several industries, including GD&M for diamonds and jewelry, diamond and jewelry retailer Gemeva, and Odyssey, which specializes in artworks and unique furniture pieces.
