5,000 runners from 77 nationalities take part in 6th Madinaty Marathon 2026

Madinaty successfully hosted the sixth edition of the Madinaty Marathon 2026, which brought together around 5,000 runners from 77 different nationalities, making it one of the largest community sports events held in Egypt.

The event was organized in a professional atmosphere, with participants competing on fully closed routes that started from Open Air Mall. The marathon included races of 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km, in addition to a 2 km family fun run, attracting both amateur and professional runners from various nationalities.

The event comes as part of the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ agenda for sports tourism and events, which aims to organize leading local and international sports activities across Egypt.

The marathon also witnessed the attendance and participation of the US Ambassador to Egypt and the UAE Ambassador to Egypt, reflecting the event’s growing international appeal and its increasing prominence year after year.

Held annually, the Madinaty Marathon is part of Talaat Moustafa Group’s commitment to supporting the sports sector and promoting sports as one of the key pillars of sustainable development. The initiative reflects the group’s belief in the positive impact of sports on improving quality of life, enhancing public health, and encouraging Madinaty residents and the wider community to adopt a healthy lifestyle and exercise regularly.
