MARAKEZ, one of Egypt’s leading mixed-use real estate developers, has secured an EGP 3bn project finance facility from Kuwait Finance House Bank – Egypt (KFH-Egypt) to support the expansion of its commercial and administrative offerings at District 5, underscoring strong demand for premium office spaces and the company’s continued growth.

The financing agreement was signed during a ceremony attended by senior executives from both parties, including Dasha Badrawi, Executive Vice Chairman of MARAKEZ; Osama Ezzo, Chief Financial Officer of MARAKEZ; Amr Abdel Wahab, Head of Corporate Banking at KFH-Egypt; and Ihab El-Shafei, General Manager of Corporate Banking. The signing marks a key milestone in MARAKEZ’s expansion strategy in Egypt.

The facility will fund the extension of the fully leased Mindhaus Campus, adding around 17,000 square metres of gross leasable office area. The transaction aligns with KFH-Egypt’s strategy of financing high-quality developments that support sustainable commercial growth.

Exclusively designed for leasing, the new extension responds to rising demand from companies seeking integrated, high-specification work environments within District 5. The existing Mindhaus Campus has reached full occupancy, driven by its integrated ecosystem, premium amenities, and strategic location within the mixed-use development.

District 5 offers direct access to retail destinations, banking services, dining outlets, and lifestyle facilities, creating a fully integrated and well-connected business environment. Reflecting this strong demand, MARAKEZ has established a waiting list for office space, highlighting sustained interest from companies seeking flexible, high-quality offices within a mixed-use destination.

The upcoming expansion is designed to accommodate this growing demand while further strengthening District 5’s position as a leading commercial and business hub in East Cairo.
