The Arab African International Bank (AAIB) has launched its mobile banking application that adds various features to the banking market.

This comes as part of the AAIB’s comprehensive plan to provide new bundles of digital banking solutions and the latest banking services in a quick, swift, and efficient manner to meet all of its customers’ needs, in their advanced lifestyle. Since the AAIB constantly prioritizes its customers, the bank is always keen to provide services that respond to their different needs, in the most convenient way.

The launch of the AAIB app with these new features is a significant step for the bank towards digital transformation, which includes the automation of many banking services. The application, which was fully developed internally by the bank’s staff, has a wide array of advantages, and one of the most important ones is paying monthly bills to various billers, namely; mobile operators, utilities and charity payments. This is done by registering them only once on the application. They’re automatically paid monthly without the user’s intervention, which saves time and effort. In addition, it gives the possibility of blocking debit or credit cards temporarily or permanently, and sharing the account details through social media and messaging platforms. Moreover, the application allows full accessibility of your bank accounts, credit cards, deposits, as well as transferring between accounts; internally and externally, through simple steps. Also, this is done in a secure and comfortable way in a matter of seconds, by various e-payment methods issued by different parties.

Haytham El Maayergi, AMD, Group Chief Operating and Transformation Officer at the AAIB, said: “The bank works in consonance with its strategy to provide its customers with the best and most up-to-date banking solutions in a quick and simple way, based on precise studies of customers’ requirements and accurate understanding of their daily needs. Also, the AAIB app is fully developed internally through our very own Digital Factory, which allows the bank’s staff to develop it swiftly and efficiently to meet the needs of the customers and market, and offer them banking services at any time and anywhere.”

El Maayergi added: “The launch of the new application complements our promises to digitize all banking procedures and services that will help expand the umbrella of digital transformation, supporting the efforts of financial inclusion.”

Alaa El Qushairy, Head of Digital at the AAIB, said: “With the advancement of digital solutions on a global level, and specifically in the Arab region, it has become necessary to develop digital solutions in general and financial solutions in particular to keep pace with the growing needs of customers.”

El Qushairy emphasized that the launch of the mobile application is one of the bank’s biggest projects, which was implemented internally through the efforts of the Digital Factory. This is considered just the beginning of the launch of many digital channels that are currently being developed.
