Finnish golfer Lauri Ruuska won the Egypt Golf Series – New Giza title after carding an exceptional final round of 10-under-par 62 to finish one stroke ahead of the field at the New Giza Golf Club.
Ruuska, who received an $18,000 winner’s prize from a total tournament purse of $100,000, said the victory held special value as it was his first competitive appearance since September. He stated that the title followed a period of rest and a comprehensive evaluation of his performance, noting that improvements to his short game skills were a decisive factor in the achievement.
The tournament saw intense competition for the top positions, with Zan Luka Stirn and Aron Zimmer sharing third place. In addition to the prize money, Ruuska earned points for the world rankings.
The Egypt Golf Series is scheduled to continue at the Marassi Address resort on the Mediterranean coast starting on January 24.
