Under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and Population and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Ahl Masr Foundation and Ahl Masr Burn Hospital announced the launch of the Middle East’s first international scientific conference dedicated entirely to burn care. The event will take place on 26–27 November at Ahl Masr Hospital in Cairo, marking a major milestone for Egypt as a regional hub for advanced burn management and medical education.
The conference underscores the critical importance of burn treatment as one of the most complex medical specialties, requiring a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach that integrates research, training, and clinical practice. It aims to provide a high-level platform for knowledge exchange, showcasing the latest treatment protocols and international best practices in burn management. The event will also open its doors to medical students, giving them the opportunity to learn directly from global experts in the field.
Dr. Heba El-Sewedy, Founder and Chairwoman of Ahl Masr Foundation and Ahl Masr Burn Hospital, said the conference represents a significant step in the institution’s evolution. “Ahl Masr Hospital has grown beyond offering free treatment for burn survivors; it has become a regional hub for scientific research, medical innovation, and knowledge transfer in burn care. Organizing this conference is a tangible expression of that transformation. It reinforces Egypt’s leadership in the healthcare sector, strengthens international scientific collaboration, and aligns with the Ministry of Health’s vision for continuous medical education and a healthcare system that meets global standards,” she said.
Across two days, the conference will feature a comprehensive scientific program that includes specialized sessions and hands-on workshops covering the entire burn management journey—from emergency response and fluid resuscitation to early surgery, infection control, psychological support, and long-term rehabilitation.
A distinguished lineup of local and international speakers will participate, including H.E. Professor Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population; H.E. Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity; and Mr. Refaat Abdel Maqsoud, CEO
