EgyptAir has cancelled all flights to and from Gulf Arab cities, the national carrier announced on Monday, citing unfolding regional events and the closure of airspace in several countries. This comes following the Iranian missile attacks on US Airbase in Qatar.

In a statement, the airline said: “Due to the events unfolding in the region and the closure of airspace in a number of Gulf Arab countries, it has been decided to cancel EgyptAir flights from Cairo to Gulf Arab cities and vice versa until the situation in the region stabilises.”

The airline’s Integrated Operations Centre is monitoring the situation around the clock and will provide further updates as they become available, the statement added.

EgyptAir has urged its customers to review their bookings by contacting its service centres or visiting a sales office. Passengers can reach the call centre from any mobile phone within Egypt by dialling 1717 or from a landline on 090070000.

International contact numbers provided were +971 4 230 6666 and +966 12 229 7777. Customers can also check the airline’s official website at www.egyptair.com for information.
