New campaign to promote Egyptian tourism during winter tourist season 2022-2023

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board (ETPB), has launched a 6-week promotional campaign to promote the Egyptian tourist destination during the winter tourist season 2022-2023 in a number of targeted countries, including France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

This comes within the framework of the ministry’s keenness to promote the Egyptian tourist destination in the various tourist markets to attract more tourist traffic from these markets, especially during the winter tourist season.

Amr El-Kady, CEO of the ETPB, explained that during this campaign, the “Follow the Sun” campaign, which was launched by the ministry in the main markets exporting tourism to Egypt during the last winter season, which achieved more than 130 million views around the world, will be relaunched, with Making technical modifications to it to suit global developments.

He added that this campaign aims to promote long-stay tourism during the winter and take advantage of the high cost of energy in European countries during the coming period, as well as citizens wishing to work remotely.

Suzan Mostafa, Director General of the Tourism Promotion Department at the ETPB, indicated that this campaign is a mixture of propaganda films on various social networking sites, in addition to reports and news stories in international media, hosting influencers from the targeted countries to visit Egypt and conveying a vivid image of the warmth enjoyed by the Egyptian tourist destination. During the winter season and the competitive advantages enjoyed by the Egyptian tourist destination.

She added that this promotional campaign is reinforced by another marketing campaign between tour operators and international airlines operating in Egypt by participating in international exhibitions held in the targeted countries, as well as intensive international meetings and gatherings that are being held during the current period to push the incoming tourist movement to Egypt during the winter tourism.
