Abdel-Latif stated that the discussions at Stockholm Forum and Stockholm +50 Conference “will inform and enrich the upcoming deliberations at the Aswan Forum, particularly regarding the necessity of advancing a holistic and coordinated approach to facing climate-related risks, boosting prevention and preparedness efforts to confront emerging crises, and ensuring the inclusiveness of responses and terms of women and youth involvement.” In the same context, he added that the Aswan Forum will stress on resilience; bolstering institutional capacity; and increasing the financing of peace, development, and climate in line with international pledges. He also expressed his appreciation for the Swedish government’s continuous support as a strategic partner to the Aswan Forum for the third year in a row.
