Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, held a meeting with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), to discuss preparations for Egypt’s hosting of WADA meetings in May, for the first time in Egypt and the second in Africa.
The meeting dealt with a review of the requirements for the WADA meetings, which include information technology infrastructure, logistical equipment, and arrangements related to activities of the Executive Office and the Board of Directors. They also talked about the accommodation arrangements for the participants in the meetings.
The Minister affirmed Egypt’s keenness to support the efforts of the World Anti-Doping Agency, and to spread awareness of the dangers of doping on athletes.
