Egypt’s Defence Minister meets with a number of paratroopers

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence Mohamed Zaki met with a number of paratroopers within the framework of periodic meetings held by the General Command of the Armed Forces to unify concepts regarding various issues and topics.

The meeting began with a speech by Major General Staff of War Atef Ibrahim Madi — Commander of the Parachute Forces — in the attendance of a number of leaders of the armed forces.

In his speech, he stressed the continuous support provided by the General Command of the Armed Forces to paratroopers, stressing that they will always remain at the highest levels of vigilance and readiness to carry out all the tasks entrusted to them.

During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi — the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces — to the paratroopers while praising the sacrifices made by them and their efficient and competent implementation of their tasks.

Zaki also reviewed the developments of the situation in the region and their repercussions in various fields, noting that the armed forces have achieved an unprecedented leap in the development of combat training methods, and that they will always work according to a firm belief in the nation’s interest above any consideration.

He added that the armed forces are the impregnable fortress that maintains the Egyptian state and its cohesion in the face of all challenges internally and externally.

Furthermore, Zaki conducted a dialogue with the paratroopers, during which he addressed the challenges posed to the local, regional, and international arenas. He also listened to their views and inquiries on various issues, praising their conscious understanding and full awareness of various issues and topics.
