Libyan delegation visits New Administrative Capital to learn about Egyptian urban development

A high-level Libyan delegation visited the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Wednesday to learn about Egyptian urban development experience and discuss ways of cooperation in this sector, according to a statement by the Ministry of Housing on Wednesday.

Head of the NAC Municipality, Sherif El-Sherbiny, received the delegation that was led by Vice Chairperson of the Urban Planning Authority in Libya, Omar Abdullah Saad.

The delegation also included the Director of the International Cooperation Office at the Libyan Ministry of Housing and Reconstruction Fathi Salim Abu Aisha, and Director of the legal office in the ministry Zainab Ammar Al Tabbal, and member of the legal office in the ministry Nadia Ali Abu Khait.

The Libyan delegation listened to a presentation about the progress of development in the city, and the major landmarks. The delegation, then, conducted a tour of the projects being implemented in the New Capital, including the Iconic Tower, which is the tallest building in Africa; the Government District; Egypt Mosque, the Cabinet, and the Egyptian Parliament.

The delegation congratulated the Egyptian political leadership and people on this achievement, praising the comprehensive vision of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities in Egypt.
