Mazadat marketplace, the first of its kind in the MEA region, has kicked off in Egypt, bringing an innovative X2C auctioning and e-commerce platform that offers C2C and B2C services using a time-boxed auction, a fixed-price Buy-Now listing or a hybrid format.

Mazadat develops and operates an African-flavored Arabic/English auctioning platform and ecommerce marketplace which empowers businesses, organizations, entrepreneurs as well as private individuals to sell and buy, anything, used or new, by auction or directly, seamlessly through their mobile phones. It bridges innovatively the online and offline worlds through complementing the online platform with an ever-expanding network of physical service centers to enable efficient, convenient, safe, and secure drop-offs and pick-ups of goods and orders.

“Mazadat’s mission is to improve lives and affordability, increase sustainability and catalyze cyclic and inclusive economies through encouraging reuse, optimizing supply-demand elasticity in the marketplace for profit-maximizing faster capital cycles, fostering efficient value chains, and reducing waste and emissions due to omittable transport of goods. Backed by amazing ESG-driven impact angel investors and supported by a stellar dedicated team, I could not be more excited to see Mazadat successfully launching its world-class online platform and having its first service centers operational in Greater Cairo, and I look forward to the next phase,” said Karim Badawi, Founder and CEO of Mazadat.

Sherif Elmahdy, Co-Founder and COO of Mazadat, commented: “Customer experience is our main priority, and our service point network concept enables us to provide them with the convenience, personal safety, security, privacy and anonymity they need. This resonated with our users from the very first minute and helped us monetize the platform from day one. As for businesses, our transparent business model creates win-win risk-free partnership opportunities for growth.”

The platform plans to expand nationwide in Egypt, and simultaneously run market-driven pilots in other countries of the MEA region soon.
