Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem handed out the graduation certificates for the third batch of the “Start Your Dream” workshop, on Tuesday, and announced the inauguration of the fourth batch.

During the event, Abdel Dayem hailed the creative energies of young people, noting that the “Start Your Dream” workshop consolidates the strategy of discovering and supporting talented people.

She asserted the need to support young playwrights and provide an opportunity for distinguished young people to create a new generation capable of restoring the glories of Egyptian theatre.

She explained that theatre works across Egypt need to continue presenting public issues and raise awareness about them. This highlights that theatre, as an artform, is one of the most important means of direct influence on the audiences.

It is noteworthy that the fourth batch of the “Start Your Dream” workshop accepted 60 trainees in the age group from 18 to 35 years, and is supervised technically by director Abeer Lutfi.

In order to attend the workshop, the participants are required to pass admission tests and a personal interview, in addition to a commitment to attend throughout the six-month training period.

During the period, acting and directing arts are taught, in addition to the skills of writing, singing, and music, which are also available in the workshop.
