Culture Ministry celebrates Christmas on YouTube

Egypt’s Ministry of Culture will celebrate the Christmas and the New Year holidays by featuring a repertoire of international Christmas songs and ballet shows via its YouTube channel.

The celebration commenced on 25 December with a recorded party organised by the Cairo Opera House.

The Cairo Symphony Orchestra, led by Maestro Ahmed Farag, presented selections from the most famous international songs, accompanied by a ballet show performed by the Cairo Opera Ballet Company.

The show included Christmas songs such as Silent Night, Wonderful Grace, Lord’s Prayer, White Christmas, Jingle Bells, It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Winter Wonderland, All I Want for Christmas Is You, O Holy Night, and Do You Hear What I Hear.

The performance was presented by Eman Mustafa; Reda Al-Wakeel; Tahea Shams El-Din; Mostafa Mohamed; Mona Rafla; Gala Al-Hadidi; Walid Karim; Julie Fayzi; Emad Adel; Jacqueline Rafiq; Dalia Farouk; Angy Mohsen; Amina Khairat; Amr Medhat; Hisham Al-Jundi; Elhamy Amin; IzzatGhanem; Laila Ibrahim; Osama Ali; Norista Al-Marghani; Tamer Tawfiq; Ibrahim Naji; Burhan El Din Farouk; and Salma Al-Jabaly.
