The Tahya Misr Fund and Emaar Misr have signed a cooperation protocol to implement a sustainable development plan for Sidi Abdel Rahman village in Matrouh governorate.

The cooperation protocol will also see the implementation of facilities that will raise the quality of life for the village’s residents, covering the provision of economic and social services.

The protocol comes as part of Emaar Misr’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) provisions, with the company contributing EGP 20m towards the first phase of improvements to the village’s infrastructure and services.

Of Sidi Abdel Rahman’s total population of 4,479, 25.5% are illiterate, and 31.2% are unemployed. As a result, the village requires extensive support to raise the quality of educational, health and economic services provided to its young people. This will ensure the creation of job opportunities, and increase training programmes to raise their economic capabilities.
