Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat, has participated in the panel interviews for applicants wishing to join the third batch of the Executive Presidential Leadership Program (EPLP).

The interviews were held at the headquarters of the National Training Academy. Minister Talaat’s participation came upon an invitation from Rasha Ragheb, Executive Director of the Academy.

In a press release on Monday, Talaat said that investing in human minds and preparing young talent is important, as it is the main driver of development and innovation within institutions.

During the interviews, Talaat met with Ragheb and a number of academy leaders. The minister listened to an overview of the training programmes offered by the Academy, as well as the objectives and contents of the presidential programme qualifying executives for leadership positions. The overview also covered the criteria used in the selection process for those admitted to join the programme.

The presidential programme to qualify executives for leadership aims to build-up and provide highly qualified citizens with the tools to formulate policies. They will also be trained on managing the decision-making process, and applying a modern style of thinking in line with the latest successful international applications and models. The programme has been designed to ensure they have the capabilities and tools to occupy various leadership positions.

The programme addresses all state employees in the 30-45 age group, who are seeking an integrated approach linking all state agencies with private sector entities. The programme is presented in cooperation with a number of international partners, to provide a global dimension and transfer global experiences to the trainees.
