Egypt follows up on murder of Egyptian expat in Jordan

Egypt’s Minister of Manpower Mohamed Saafan is following up with the Egyptian Embassy in Jordan and the Labor Representative Office there, on the murder of an Egyptian national reportedly by a Jordanian citizen who shot him to death. 

According to a Sunday statement from the ministry, Egypt will take the necessary legal procedures in order to preserve the rights of the Egyptian victim, and to transfer the body to Egypt for burial. 

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Manpower, Haitham Saad El-Din, said the Egyptian citizen’s name was Amir Samir Ibrahim and he was 30 years old.

Saad El-Din added that the murder suspect was arrested by the Jordanian authorities and is currently undergoing investigation.
