Egypt, Romania discuss efforts to fight coronavirus

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi discussed on Thursday with his Romanian counterpart, Klaus Iohannis, mutual efforts to fight the coronavirus pandemic, according to a presidency statement.


Al-Sisi and Iohannis agreed during a phone call, to enhance cooperation through “exchanging expertise and coordination between medical care departments in both countries.” They also discussed other issues of mutual of interest.

In another context, Al-Sisi exchanged greeting cables with Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz over the holy month of Ramadan, which will start on Friday.

 

In a phone call, the two leaders expressed their good wishes to their peoples, wishing more prosperity and progress to the Arab and Islamic nations.

 

Al-Sisi also greeted Egyptian expatriates around the world over Ramadan.

 

The Egyptian president received greeting cables from several senior state officials on the same occasion.
