Fawry, an electronic payments company in Egypt, has signed an agreement to cooperate with Orman Charity Association. Fawry also launched a door to door aid collection service in order to protect the data of donors and facilitate the collection process. The company also has many other services, including My Fawry application for smartphones, and more than 125,000 Fawry outlets across the country, in addition to bank ATMs and electronic wallets.

Mamdouh Shaaban, director general of Orman Charity Association, said that the new system has been linked to the association’s Customer relationship management (CRM) system so that any collection process automatically appears in the client base programme.

Mohamed Okasha, the managing director of Fawry, said that this agreement comes within the framework of strengthening Fawry’s social responsibility, as well as supporting the existing cooperation between Egyptian non-governmental organisations (NGO) and civil society organisations.

Orman is an Egyptian NGO established in 1993 at the Ministry of Social Solidarity. It aims to serve low-income citizens, without any religious or political discrimination, and emphasises the role of civil work in developing societies, both economically and socially. For its funding, the association relies on in-kind and cash donations from Egyptians inside and outside the country.

It is worth noting that Fawry is a leader in digital transformation and electronic payments. It provides financial services to customers and companies through multiple channels and more than 125,000 locations in Egyptian governorates. It has over 24.1 million customers per month, and more than 2.7 million transactions per day, offering over 540 services.

Fawry also provides safe and easy ways to pay bills through various channels, including ATMs, mobile wallets and commercial outlets, in addition to paying via the Internet.
