Watch iT! launches e-payment service for its customers

WATCH iT! application has announced signing a partnership agreement with Fawry, fintech network in Egypt to offer its services through “Fawry Pay” to the public, aiming to ease e-services for citizens via the Internet.

WATCH iT! has 1.5 million users and has a huge library of the most diverse services, containing more than 650,000 entertainment hours of movies, series, and programmes that suit all ages.

Commenting on the partnership, Tamer Morsy, CEO and managing director of the Egyptian Media Group, the United Digital Services Company that owns WATCH iT!, said “We are delighted to cooperate with Fawry, the leading financial technology network, through its “Fawry Pay” platform and provide innovative ways for customers to pay their monthly subscription easily through different payment methods and channels, most notably 125,000 outlets all over Egypt”.

In response, Mohamed Okasha, Fawry’s co-founder and managing director, said that the partnership with WATCH iT! is the result of a joint cooperation to provide outstanding services to customers, highlighting that “Fawry Pay” payment methods include either cash payments through any of Fawry outlets or online using credit cards (MizaCard, MasterCard, and Visa). They also operate through bank channels linked to Fawry’s network (ATM, Internet banking, mobile wallets), in addition to “myFawry” application available for smart phones.

“Fawry also offers a Fawry Pay recovery system where WATCH iT customers can refund any amount from Fawry outlets. We will also offer loyalty and reward programmes to WATCH iT! users so that they can collect points with each renewal operation and redeem them in more than 100 brands,” he added.

The “Fawry Pay” platform provided by Fawry for online shopping, offers customers different payment methods and various e- services. Over 1.1m transactions were made on “Fawry Pay” platform this year until the end of August 2019 for more than 280 e-merchants partnering with Fawry.
