Israel kills three Palestinian children in new raid on Gaza

Three Palestinian children were killed on Sunday in a new Israeli airstrike on the besieged Gaza Strip, according to the strip’s ministry of health. The ministry said that two if the children were 13-years-old and the third one was 14.

The Israeli army announced that it has attacked three persons who were suspected to have bombed part of the border line between Gaza and the Israeli territories. It justified the use of deadly force by claiming that it is protecting the Israeli people from Palestinian attacks.

On Saturday, the Israeli fighter jets bombed several targets in the Gaza Strip after about 30 rockets were shot from the strip into Israeli territories, according to a statement from the Israeli army. Rockets were shot as revenge for four Palestinians killed on Friday in an Israeli attack.

According to the statement, Israeli fighter jets attacked 80 sites in Gaza, and destroyed Hamas’s security offices. The Iron Dome system intercepted 10 rockets.  

Mass demonstrations started in Gaza since the end of March, commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day dubbed the ‘Great Return March’.

An Egyptian security delegation in Gaza is holding separate meetings with Palestinian and Israeli parties in order to restore security in Gaza.

The Israeli attacks came amid rapprochement attempts between Israeli and Arab regimes. The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Oman last week in an official visit, however, Israeli sportive delegations visited Qatar and the UAE also.
