Founder of the global Facebook page Humans of New York (HONY), Brandon Stanton, announced that he will be visiting Egypt this August in an online post on his page.

The blog started in 2010 telling in depth, well-known heart-touching stories and profiles of strangers in New York (NY).

Stanton has taken hundreds of photos and portraits for people living and working primarily in NY, accompanied with his conversations with them about their lives.

Stanton, who is American author, photographer, and blogger has visited over 20 countries, including Iran, Jordan, Iraq, and Pakistan. And now, he is preparing his encounter with the humans of Cairo.

He announced that he is looking for fluent Egyptians who have blogging and interpretation skills to help him with the documentation process.

The blog has achieved a worldwide success where others have adopted his idea. In Egypt, Humans of Cairo and Women of Egypt were set-up to tell stories similar to the vision of HONY. A total number of 17,778,968 are following the blog.

His blog has initiated many projects, and most recently is a series on Facebook Watch.
