KnockMart expands offline branches

KnockMart, an e-commerce company, will open three to five new branches in a number of governorates during the current year.

Ahmed Taher, chief executive officer of the company, said that this is part of the company’s expansion plan, which boosted the number of branches to 20 in three years.

He explained that the company focused on the diversity of branches to include various areas within Greater Cairo, including Mohandessin, Maadi, Nozha, Heliopolis, Mokattam, and Sixth of October, as well as Alexandria and the North Coast.

He added that the company opening a branch in the New Administrative Capital is a priority, as the capital will be one of the major national projects that will make a great breakthrough.

He stressed that the rapid development witnessed by the market in the field of electronic commerce and the success of the company in gaining the confidence of customers motivated its leadership to expand permanently, noting that the company achieved 180% growth in the first few months of the year compared to 2017.

He added that the company faced challenges in its first years in the market due to the modern thought of promoting electronic food supplies, especially fresh products, such as meat, vegetables, fruits, and others, and was able to acquire the confidence of customers in terms of product quality and delivery of applications in a timely manner and agreed specifications.

He emphasised that KnockMart is studying of a number of innovative offers for Jumia customers through Jumia Fresh in the framework of a partnership between the companies.
