Aiming to raise awareness towards the cause of street children and orphans in Egypt, prominent musician Omar Khairat will perform a live music concert in St John’s Smith Square in London next month, a state media outlet reported.

The concert’s income aims to support street children and orphans adopted by FACE, a non-profit organisation that aims to assist and protect orphans, street children, their families, and communities in Egypt.

The concert, which will be Khairat’s first in London, is supported by the Egyptian Embassy there. It is planned to take place at the beginning of December, yet no specific date has been announced for it.

Nevine Coutry, the general manager of FACE told state-owned website EgyNews, that the concert will host a thousand fan, which will raise their awareness regarding the cause.

“The prices of the tickets are dedicated to [our] association,” Coutry said adding, “we are honoured that a legend like Omar Khairat will perform this concert supporting our cause.”

This is not Khairat’s first concert to fund an organisation supporting a social cause. Last year, he performed  one of his biggest concerts for Baheya Foundation for Treatment of Breast Cancer. The income of that concert was dedicated to Baheya patients, aiming to raise people’s awareness about breast cancer and encouraging them to donate to the hospital that treats women free of charge.
