History says Al-Ahli is likely to win before meeting Wydad Athletic Club in the final of the Champions League

For the 11th  time in its history of participation in the African Championship League, Al Ahli Club will be facing Morocco’s Wydad Athletic Club on Saturday.

The two teams will be playing at the “Stade Mohammed V” in the second leg of the final game of the championship. The stadium is in Casablanca. Egypt’s Al Ahli has won the title 8 times, achieving a record with its name.

Al Ahli has played 13 final matches in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) aside from the African Championship League, including four games in the African Cup Winners’ Cup, which was later canceled. In addition, the team played a single final game in the Confederation Cup in 2014 and eight games in the African Super Cup, where it won six times and lost two.

Al Ahli has faced one Moroccan club in the history of the final matches played in various African competitions, which wasthe AS FAR Moroccan team in the Super Cup in 2006. Al Ahli won 4-2 on free kicks, after the two teams failed to score any goals in the original and extra time of the game held in Cairo.
