The Housing and Development Bank (HDB) increased the number of its branches to 71 after the opening of its most recent branch in Badr City near the Egyptian Russian University.

Fathy El-Sebai, chairperson of the bank, revealed earlier that the bank plans to take the number of branches to 100 by the end of 2018.

The opening of Badr City’s branch—the second in the city—is considered a continuation of the plan that aims to achieve more of a geographic spread and reach across the country.

For the upcoming period, the bank is to witness several geographic expansions to keep up with the rapid development of the Egyptian market and enhance its position among other local banks.

HDB has offered its services to residents of Badr City through its first branch there—established in 2005. The opening of the new branch in the city coincides with the offering of residential projects in the New Administrative Capital in order to offer its services to contractors and workers there.

In 2016, the bank witnessed a technological breakthrough by developing work mechanisms and connecting all branches of the bank electronically. It also provided all the branches with modern preparations that ensure high-quality services, which enable clients to carry out transactions in any branch of the bank.
