Parliament’s Communications Committee inspects technological zone in Borg El-Arab

A delegation of the parliament’s Communications and Information Technology Committee today visited the technological zone in Borg El-Arab in Alexandria to follow up on the latest developments regarding the implementation of this important national project. The delegation inspected the zone and discussed the operational stages and processes of construction in the first phase.

The delegation was welcomed by Asmaa Hosny, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) who provided a detailed explanation of the work underway and the plan of construction.

Ahmed El-Sobky, vice president for IT markets development at ITIDA, reviewed the different fields targeted by the technological zone project, saying it will create 29,000 jobs when it is completed—especially in fields of IT and outsourcing, programming, electronic design, and training centers.

The technological zone lies on an area of ​​126,000 sqm in Borg El-Arab, which is considered a promising trade and industry hub where all services are available.
