A police conscript was killed in a drive-by shooting in North Sinai on Sunday night, according to security officials.
Police officer Abdo Ibrahim was shot in front of his house in Al-Arish, a statement from the Ministry of Interior said. The assailants are yet to be identified.
This comes after two police officers in Al-Arish were murdered inside their homes on Thursday. A third police officer was killed in an explosion in central Sinai.
On the other hand, the military stated that it had carried out several operations amid its war on terrorism in North Sinai, which resulted in the arrest of dozens of suspects and the destruction of explosive devices.
