Egyptian GITEX participants expected to sign EGP 30m deal: ITIDA

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) expects Egyptian companies that have participated in GITEX Dubai in October to sign deals worth about EGP 30m.

The exhibition included 25 Egyptian companies offering services and applications to 2,600 visitors at the exhibition. ITIDA said of the total audience, 387 were committed to making deals, buying products, and acquiring entire projects, mostly from Saudi Arabian and Bahraini institutions.

A survey revealed that 100% of attendance was motivated by preparing for future deals, and about 96% wished to form partnerships and sign contracts. Approximately 92% participated to maintain existing connections and 83% wanted to promote products and brands.

About 83% wanted to exchange information and expertise, 75% were willing to do business at the exhibition, and 71% wanted to study the market and collect information.

GITEX Dubai 2015 had 3,900 international companies and governments participating from 54 countries. Some 139,000 technology experts visited the exhibition coming from 144 countries. About 80% of the world’s brands took part in the exhibition and 25,000 senior executives in many industries.
