2:48 The voting has stopped for an hour and half in El-Shahed Naim school, polling station number  25 in Qena, due to a personal dispute between the head of the station and the nephew of one of the candidates.

2:50 Security forces in Minya arrested 10 persons in 3 neighborhoods, for being accused of leading the voters.

2:36 In Matrouh, in front of a polling station in Al-Madina street a dispute happened among some citizens and Nour party representative, as he was directing the citizens to elect Al-Nour party candidates.

2:19 The prime minister chancellor Rafaat Komsan announced that sorting operations for the first stage will start from 9 pm, in case  of the voters non-existence in the polling stations.

11:47: Violent clashes took place between two families in front of one of the voting committees in the Motamadiya neighbourhood of Kerdasa. Voting was suspended temporarily until the dispute was settled. State-run news agency MENA reported that security men were able to interfere to restore the security and the voting process.

Minor clashes were also witnessed between different candidates’ supporters in the Al-Badrasheen district of Giza.

11:49: The operations room in Minya reported the absence of a judge on the second day of elections, at one of the schools in the Maghagha constituency. Meanwhile, the Behaira governorate saw the most delays in opening voting committees, and arrivals of judges.

11:32: A Giza based judge told MENA that the delay and lack of discipline in many voting committees is behind the low voters’ turnout. The judge, who wished to remain anonymous, also said another judge excused himself from attending the voting process in the Naguib Mahfouz committee in Boulaq.

11:23: Egyptians abroad conclude the voting process on Monday with a “lower than average” turnout, according to ambassadors press statements.

10:27: Governor of Alexandria Hany El-Messairy announced that public transportation will be free of charge starting from 1 pm until 9 pm to facilitate travel for voters.

10:14: Two anonymous armed men fired bullets at one of the voting committees in the Tahta district of Ayat, no injuries reported.
