In a new approach by governmental bodies, the Egypt Post Authority launched a new programme entitled “Invest Your Ideas”, aimed at motivating workers’ creativity to develop the authority’s services.

According to an authority official, the programme targets motivating workers to think out of the box, increasing their loyalty to the authority, and asserting their positive role in developing the authority’s work.

The authority announced a number of conditions for the creative ideas presented by workers. These conditions include that the proposed ideas should aim at developing the authority, improving services, reducing costs, shortening procedures which would help finish the job faster and improving the work environment within the authority.

According to the official, the programme is available for all workers at different job levels. The determined mechanisms of presenting proposals include that the ideas need to be creative and applicable, and to be submitted by workers to the supreme committee to decide on their usefulness. This will take place every three months.

The official added that the authority has set financial rewards for the innovative proposals approved by the supreme committee to be implemented. These include EGP 5,000 for first place, EGP 4,000 for the second, EGP 3,000 for the third, EGP 2,000 for the fourth and EGP 1,000 for fifth place.

The supreme committee for receiving and studying the ideas is expected to be formed under the chairmanship of Egypt Post CEO Essam El-Sagheer and membership of Vice-Chairman of General Secretariat Affairs, Vice Chairman for Investment Affairs and Financial Services. The committee will also include IT supervisor, director of proposal assessment and Assistant Chairman for development and modelling.
